May, 2008 `Reaching my hut built of quiet mystery, I sweep clouds away and settle into repose. There's no one left to climb with me beyond Slippery moss and frail vines to this peak Where autumn winds bluster and breeze And spring grasses grow lush and green. You're traveling beyond hope of return. - Hsieh Ling-yun
May, 2008 passion...My passion used to burn inside of me

April, 2008 ANZAC Day 2008
They shall grow not old, As we that are left grow old, Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun, And in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget
ANZAC Day, 25th 25thApril. 2008
April, 2008 The web of lifeHumankind has not woven the web of life
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web,
We do to ourselves
All things are bound together.
All things connect.

March, 2008 Giant Puppies
Imagine a creature as long as a human being is tall, with soft, strokeable fur, a damp black nose and the biggest, most soulful brown eyes you've ever seen. Meet the Australian sealion, native only to Australia and living in the cooler waters to our country's south. Curious and intelligent, young sealions love to play with anything in the water, be it fragments of shell, small round stones, passing dolphins and lately, those odd wet suited two legged creatures who come to visit their colony in a boat. A chance to visit and swim with a colony of wild sealions exists in only a few places in the world, including the Galapagos islands in Ecuador and our very own South Australia. This is a truly magical experience, made all the more impressive by the fact that the sea lions have never been baited or fed in any way to encourage them to approach humans they interact only because of their naturally friendly and playful natures.

Herbs That Heal Ginger
Praised by Confucius and used in recipes by Nostradamus, ginger has been revered as the "universal medicine" for thousands of years. Today, it remains a remedy for nausea, indigestion, fever and infection and has qualities that may prevent heart attacks, aid digestion, prevent colds, flu and skin cancers and aid weight loss How to use it: Brew tea from grated ginger root and add lemon to taste.
Garlic How to use it: Garlic is most beneficial eaten raw (or applied to the skin), as some of the healing properties become lost during the cooking process. Thyme How to use it: Brew tea by steeping a fresh bunch in hot water. Parsley How to use it: Eat raw or use in sauces. Lemongrass How to use it: Drink in tea or capsule form to ease the above ailments, apply oil to ease the symptoms of cuts, acne, sprains, tendonitis and circulatory problems or rub crushed leaves on skin to repel insects. Alternately, place a handful of leaves in a mesh bag and place it in the bath for a soothing aromatherapy soak. Mint How to use it: Take as supplements, buy readymade teabags or pour hot water over fresh leaves to make a DIY brew. Dill How to use it: As a seasoning or take as a supplement. Lavender How to use it: Smell a fresh bunch or take internally — lavender's antibacterial and antiviral properties help dispel harmful bacteria and other microorganisms in the intestines. Alternately, use as massage or bath oil, a household cleaner, insect repellant and even a mouthwash.
March, 2008 Wish you were here
I'm in Adelaide, South Australia for a holiday and to see the Adelaide Festival of Arts
The buildings here in the city are sort of...gothic looking and at night they have laser lights projecting images onto them. I was trying to photograph a part the Art Gallery of South Australia at night and then these laser lights projected images onto the buildings of say...scenes from ancient Rome and so the whole building looks like something from that period of time and then...the images change and the building appears to be covered in giant spiders I don't know if I'm explaining myself too well here but...I'm trying to get some decent photos and if I can figure out this bloody camera I'll post some here for you
I know this is a very quick entry but..it's summer time here "and hot" and I want to go out and enjoy the celebrations!
This isn't a great photo but..most of what you're seeing is an illusion! In the daylight, this is just a grey building
February, 2008 Lipstick A school in Bankstown, NSW, Australiawas recently faced with a unique problem! A number of girls were
beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the washroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.
Every night, the maintenance man would remove
them and the next day, the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. He called all the girls to the washroom and met them there with the maintenance man. He explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night. To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean
the mirrors, he asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet bowl, and cleaned the mirror with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.

February, 2008 Fairy tales
Fairy tales are important. Not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten
February, 2008 I think I've got a lot to learn
Life may not have given me Exactly what I wanted But, I’m learning to love What I have
February, 2008 Salutation to the dawn
Look for today, for today is life, The very life of life, In its brief course lie all its verities and realities of your existence. The bliss of growth, the glory of action, the splendor of beauty. For today is but a dream and tomorrow a vision, But today well lived makes all yesterdays A dream of happiness and tomorrow a vision of hope Look so well, therefore, a salutation of dawn.
